Endocrinology

In this class, we will study the organization and function of the endocrine systems involved in regulating such diverse physiological processes as growth, body fluid balance, the stress response, and reproduction. Topics will include the cellular and molecular mechanisms mediating hormone action, the central and peripheral control of endocrine systems, and clinical correlates of endocrine dysfunction. As part of this course, students will be responsible for creating or updating a Wikipedia article on a specific topic relevant to the course.
