Dynamic Tensions

This is a year-long honors course that focuses on the dynamic tensions between business, law and morality. We spend a lot of time discussing and reconciling cases. The Fall primarily focuses on having students build their content knowledge (e.g., stakeholder theory, social responsibility, corporate governance) and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills by thinking outside of the box and developing their writing skills through case study analyses.

Throughout the Spring semester, we continue building content knowledge but since students now have a foundation, they work on a different form of writing (Wiki project/encyclopedic-style) that reinforces what they have been learning. They are tasked with selecting and editing a relevant business ethics article that interests them, rather than me assigning one to them.
