Research Methods in Music for Performers
This course serves as an introduction to graduate studies in music where students will explore the practices of music scholarship from the perspective of researchers and performers. Students will engage with scholarly conversations relevant in different areas of study, including musicology, performance studies, and music education, while also learning about the practices of music research, writing, and publishing. Students will attain graduate level proficiency in information literacy, including information seeking, critical analysis, and citation. Offered every Spring.
